Jim has experience conceptualizing and leasing retail projects from inception, as well as reviving outdated projects resulting in invigorated and modernized developments. Some of his most notable achievements include bringing the first Nordstrom Rack to downtown D.C., numerous leases with grocers including Whole Foods, Giant Food, Safeway, Harris-Teeter, Lidl, and Aldi, as well as 16 new locations for Potbelly Sandwich Shop. For the majority of his career, and most recently with Rappaport as executive director of leasing and brokerage, his work has focused on the Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland markets. His track record includes more than 5.3 million square feet leased at more than $1.1 billion in transaction value. Jim has been a prominent tenant and landlord representation broker for the last three decades. “SRS has been active in the Carolinas for many years.
